Short How to #1 : How To Lucid Dream.

I don’t know about all of you guys , but I was a huge fan of the concept of the movie ‘Inception’. The idea to plant an idea into the mind of a person in a dream while he has no idea about it… I mean come on. It might have been ridiculous but don’t tell me you didn’t think of planting the idea in the head of that person you like to like you back. Don’t lie.. we will know.

U cn’t stp us nw , fgt.

The thing is , though , you’d be mindless while doing that under normal circumstances . That is , you will have no control whatsoever in that dream. You have no control in most of your dreams , do you? Or your life? How would you have known that you would be fired because you showed up to work without pants , or your girlfriend would leave you for a richer , more good looking guy without so much as saying goodbye….sorry I kinda got carried away there.

Anyway , wouldn’t it be nice if you could like..control your dreams? Well turns out you can. You can be this whole god-like being in a world full of banana people and butterflies and live in a mansion with a million good-looking suitors , all inclinations accommodated. How ? For the love of god , I’ll tell you how.. this is a ‘how to’ , you see?..idiot. A bit of clear vision first.

LUCID DREAMING is a technique of being awake in your dreams and controlling them.A fully lucid dream is tangiable, rich and visually detailed sometimes furnishing you with even greater awareness than you have right now. BASICALLY A Lucid Dream is “SIMS DELUXE 3D” fully cracked and with life like HD graphics that a gamer and stay home and make love to all night long.Want to enjoy a drink with Morgan Freeman? You can. want to soar over New york like Iron Man? You can. Want to bang Megan Fox?.Oh Yes!You can. Want to kill Joffrey over and over? can. Want to re-live your first kiss? You can. What makes Lucid dreaming more than just a fantasy is its ability to interact with other parts for example if you decide to jump off Burj Khalifa. your body will experience similar adrenaline rush. as it would in real. your senses can feel everything you do (TIP: Always sleep with extra tissues. you never know. Emma Watson maybe around the  corner 😛 ).

You gotta believe in yourself bro/sis. Before sleeping you have got to tell yourself that you will lucid dream tonight for sure.. you have to imagine it, you have to consciously auto-suggest your sub-conscious into having a lucid dream tonight.

Oh , please , don’t you give me that look. A dream journal is the difference between banging Megan Fox in a dream and having an awkward  encounter with a stereotype of an Indian IT guy who goes by the name ‘Punjab’. You need to keep a journal besides your bed which you should fill everyday (Keep in mind that it says ‘Journal’  and not a ‘Diary’. If you don’t know the difference , a diary is all ‘ I , me , myself’ , while a journal reports the color of the sky , the eyes of your loved one , and the color of blood of the victims of a murder-rampage) Or , if your are as lazy as me , you can just record it on your phone in your own voice , and then listen to it or read it after you have had your morning coffee.

What happens after you read and listen to it , is that you start noticing patterns of a skeletal nature at the very least , and when you dream again , you are able to tell that it’s a dream. And that’s when all the fun begins

This is important. The problem is that when you finally realize that you are lucid dreaming it is so unbelievable that your brain will attempt to move out of sleep. Over-excitement will also cause you to wake up so don’t go saying “I’m gonna blow shit up” the very second you start lucid dreaming. The first few of such dreams aren’t going to be pleasing. So it is extremely important to calm yourself . This will help you control your dream (Read: Bang XYZ)

Another important step. Throughout the day , ask yourself questions like “Am I dreaming?” , and spin a top or something like Leonardo No Oscario did. Not because 0f Limbo.. infact there is no such thing as Limbo.. Inception lied to you. This is because when you get a habit of asking these questions , so start to incorporate it in a dream , which makes lucid dreaming a smooth sailing ship.

A lucid dream is your turf. No one can mess with you on your turf unless it’s in a kinky way and you want them to. There are no laws of physics or anything. If you want 2+2 equals 5 , you can make 2+2 equal 5.. Why yes , you CAN go back in time and kill Hitler, and watch the Beatles play live. Your unconscious mind will help you find true answers to questions like “Am I happy?” ,”Do I really love him?” ,”Do I understand Pitbull’s songs? “, “What career should I choose?” etc. However , you still cannot create a honest politician.

Should you shake that body ?

It is often confusing to make a first impression in front of someone. Whether that be your boss, classmates or just that-totally-hot-person that one of your friend knows and introduces you too. But often we reveal some deep and possibly embarrassing secrets hidden deep within ourselves that we display written on our face…well on our body,to be more precise.

You’re not even trying! (

I know you already love looking at people’s bodies… don’t bite your lip , don’t cross your arms… I am writing this article , I know when you lie , so , now you have a reason to watch them….FOR SCIENCE!

You can also try saying “It’s for class ” (SMBC)

As you read, you’ll find that you do some of these things — both positive and negative — naturally. Changing your body language can be as simple as being aware of it, and the more you practice using powerful, confident body language, the easier it will become.

It all starts with the tiny tricks and trinkets. Your mind will reflect what your body projects. A good straight posture implies that you are confident. You will actually feel happier when you sit up straight. If you slouch , however , you will feel the opposite. And that is how people perceive you.

(keepcalm-o-matic) Listen to your parents!

Taking on a powerful pose doesn’t just make you more confident, it actually changes your hormone levels and increases your propensity to take risks. Powerful poses usually consist of making the body bigger and taking up more space, so putting your hands on your hips, standing up taller or putting on a pair of high heels and planting your feet can literally change how you feel!

It makes people think you are less credible. Not only that, people whose arms are crossed are telling others that they’re closed off and not open to new ideas or opinions. It can also betray that you’re uncomfortable with your size or weight: we unconsciously try to cover the things we think aren’t “good enough”.

Crossed legs tell the same story, whether sitting or standing. People will often stand with one leg crossed in front of the other when they are in a group of people they don’t know well…This is slightly different when it comes to women. I’m not saying you should go spread your legs..More on that in the next part!

Another thing to avoid is the ‘self-hug’ position. Where one arm is straight at your side, and the other crosses your body to hold the opposite elbow. You are literally hugging yourself for support! This shows how sad and scared/nervous you are!

Don’t be afraid to lightly touch people, even if you don’t know them very well. Politicians will often touch the elbow of the person whose hand they’re shaking: it demonstrates charisma and confidence. Waitresses get better tips when they lightly touch their customers when they talk to them. (This might feel really awkward when you first start, but you will get more comfortable the more you do it!) People who casually and lightly touch others are liked more, on average!

Just…use a little common sense while doing this, okay?

In the world of body language, it is often said that the legs reveal what the mind wants to do. This doesn’t mean your legs will point at the person you wanna bone , to clear things out.

A person who is sitting with legs crossed, kicking their feet, is bored. If they’re sitting with their legs apart, they’re open and relaxed. The basic things.
When you’re having a conversation with someone who finds you interesting, they will put one foot forward to shorten the distance between you. If, on the other hand, they are bored witless, they will move their feet back, usually under a chair if sitting down.

My conversations end up like this , so be cool. (polyvore)

If the person talking to you has their thumbs in their belt-loops, they are attracted to you, and want you to notice their man- or womanhood!..Basically how a cowboy looks at you every time (I just knew there was something on their mind)  Look at where their thumbs are pointing! You can’t get much clearer than that!

If someone tilts their head, it shows that they’re interested. If they bring their hand to their chin or cheek, they are thinking and evaluating, but if they do this and put one finger up along the side of their face, they are being critical and judgmental, and are not happy with what is being said! It’s almost like making a silent objection.

Also , if someone has their middle finger up and they look pissed. They are probably pissed about something you said. Run.

This probably indicates they are angry and want an answer to the question “Does he look like a bitch?”

Women often tilt their heads and show their necks to men who they find attractive. They will also speak in a higher tone with those they find attractive…They same way they talk with babies and cats.

Someone who touches or rubs their nose is showing that they have doubts or are not being entirely truthful. If they rub their eye, they don’t believe what you’re saying. Of course, take both of these with a grain of salt during allergy season!

If they bite their nails, they are insecure and nervous. Pulling or tugging on the ear shows indecisiveness. Fussing with the hair shows a lack of self-confidence and insecurity.

Closed body language means the mind is closed off, too. Closed body language is shown by crossed arms, legs or feet. If you really want to get a good read on someone, sit with them and offer a glass of water, coffee, tea or pretty much anything else. Then watch where they put their glass after taking a sip. If they use one arm to cross in front of them and put the glass on the table on the opposite side of their body, then they are hesitant, anxious or feeling negative. But if they drink using one hand and place the cup down on that same side, they are feeling open and secure.

Someone who rubs their hands together is showing that they expect a positive outcome, and are excited about what will come next. Having said that, the speed at which they rub their hands shows who they expect will come out on top! A slow hand rub denotes that they think they are going to be better off.

Clasping your hands behind your back shows that you don’t want to let someone know how you feel — and you’re usually angry, frustrated or worried.

When someone disagrees with what is being said, they will often pick lint from their clothing! This person has a secret opinion that they don’t want to share.

People who straddle chairs by sitting on them back-to-front want to dominate or be in control, but are secretly insecure.

(dailymail) Perfect.

It’s easy to spot a liar, because they usually do all four of these things in succession: touch their hands together, touch their face, cross their arms, and lean away from you.

Now , you are free to use this everyday , but do so with caution. The excuse “It’s for class” probably won’t do good against the jury in court.

One of the fastest ways to build rapport with someone is to mirror their actions. Mirroring is exactly what it sounds like: you copy someone else’s facial expressions or body movements. As awkward as this sounds, we do this unconsciously, and we will often mirror the behaviour of someone we respect, look up to, or consider to have higher status than us. But when we do it, it puts the other person at ease, and makes them feel like you vibe well together.

(wgfitness) This explains all the selfies , doesn’t it?

Show your honesty by telling your story with your hands. People tend to believe those people more who show them their palms. This goes back to the olden days , it used to be a sign signally that you had no weapons with you  i.e you come in peace.

If you talk to someone while showing your open palms, it will actually encourage them to be more honest and open with you! This is the secret to knowing all secrets!

“I do not appreciate you giving away my secrets”

Oh and btw , pointing is a big no no!

It is perceived and normally associated with negative comments. Although you may not be making one , when you point fingers , you lash out on them , knowingly or unknowlingly .

Hence, lot of professional speakers have been taught to show emphasis with their hands by touching their thumb and forefinger together to make an ‘OK’ symbol. This gesture is seen by others as being authoritative but not forceful, and in fact, makes an audience think you are thoughtful, focused and goal-oriented.

Lets see, what else ..oh yeah

This is fascinating and unusual: if you stand on the left side of a photograph, viewers will think you are more dominant than anyone else in the picture!

Guiding other people through a door — going first and holding it for them — shows that you are in control, and will encourage others to view you as a leader.

“Why didn’t you tell me this before”

Oh , and when women lie , they like to look busy , rather than  just crossing their arms and doing the other stuff mentioned above. They will multi-task for this!

Getting on the same physical level as the person you’re speaking to is very powerful, too. I’ve discovered that crouching down and literally being on the same level as them — as opposed to standing over them and talking down — encourages a much more candid, open conversation.

Be animated when you talk, and smile with your teeth! Use your hands to gesticulate, keep your palms open, and don’t cross your arms, legs or feet. Lean forward and nod when other people are talking, and tilt your head to show that you’re listening. Don’t allow your chin to drop. Mirror the body language of other people. Make eye contact and smile! :)….

The World Of Dreams.

Now I know , Inception left you more confused than the time you saw your father in a Santa Claus costume,But the fascination for dreams has existed long before our ancestors were still pooping in diapers made of leaves.

It’s a sense of mystery that makes the subject of dreams so interesting.
But it’s in recent times that dreams have be subjected to concentrated scientific studies
We all have obviously seen a dream and perhaps watch new ones everyday .
If you are Normal and of my age you have probably had that dream where you and Emma Watson or RDJ were on that beach in hawaii sipping on mojitos and running towards each other in slow motion or something along those lines..

All right, now lets get back to the topic at hand.
All of us may have often found ourselves puzzling about the contents of our dreams or why do we dream in the 1st place.

Why all the fuss of enacting adventures in our mind when we are sleeping?

So here am I to take you to the world of fantasies.

You’re still blushing?I know this is hard for the both of us , but we need to get real.. it was just a dream.

So here take this blue pill and follow me to the world of dreams
morphues dreams
So we start from the 1st very basic question. Why in the world do we dream?
Well , we dream because that is the only place where we are liked

Just kidding , chillax
We got a lot of theories going around about the reason of our dreams.
One of those says that dream are just random signals sent by our body during the sleep that are brains tries to make sense of .
Our brain considers itself a genius and tries to analyse every signal.
When it doesn’t manage to come to a solid conclusion it plays whatever it has deduced .
So in simple words brain is a woman

Relax , we are kidding.

This theory says that dreams are just random shit.

One theory suggests that dreams are the result of our brains trying to interpret external stimuli during sleep. For example, the sound of the radio may be incorporated into the content of a dream .
Another theory uses a computer metaphor to account for dreams. According to this theory, dreams serve to ‘clean up’ clutter from the mind, much like clean-up operations in a computer, refreshing the mind to prepare for the next day.
Yet another model proposes that dreams function as a form of psychotherapy. In this theory, the dreamer is able to make connections between different thoughts and emotions in a safe environment.

But the theory we would be concentrating was given by the great Dr. Sigmund Freud in the 20th century .
He said that dreams are the way of expressing ones inner desires ,thoughts and motives. each dream was a coded message sent by your subconscious to your conscious. And he thought it our job to crack them and realize the needs of our subconscious.
(NOTE TO DR. FREUD: I can hardly remember them , decoding them is a hefty task for my tiny brains )

Ok so where was I? Dreams ..right.
So after a lot of detailed study Sigmund freud gave descriptions and meanings of dreams in his book interpretation of dreams. His explanations and reasoning were astounding and did raise a few eyebrows .
BUT before we go ahead with the theory in deep we need to know about the key terminologies in psychoanalysis.

Case Study – An in-depth study of one person. Much of Freud’s work and theories were developed through individual case studies. In a case study, nearly every aspect of the subject’s life and history is analyzed to seek patterns and causes for behavior. The hope is that learning gained from studying one case can be generalized to many others. That is kinda like saying that you became a serial killer because you weren’t given ice-cream when you were a kid. And it could be true.
Conscious – In Freud’s psychoanalytic theory of personality, the conscious mind includes everything that is inside of our awareness. This is the aspect of our mental processing that we can think and talk about in a rational way.

Defense Mechanism – A tactic developed by the ego to protect against anxiety. Defense mechanisms are thought to safeguard the mind against feelings and thoughts that are too difficult for the conscious mind to cope with. In some instances, defense mechanisms are thought to keep inappropriate or unwanted thoughts and impulses from entering the conscious mind.

Id – The personality component made up of unconscious psychic energy that works to satisfy basic urges, needs and desires. In simple words , this is the caveman inside you. It says   “Arghhh…FOOD!SEX!ICE-CREAM!SLEEP! “

Superego – The component of personality composed of our internalized ideals that we have acquired from our parents and from society. The superego works to suppress the urges of the id and tries to make the ego behave morally rather than realistically. In simple words , this is the girlfriend part of yours. It says ” Don’t pick your nose “, “Don’t eat that “. “Don’t strach that”, “Don’t go to ikea in your underwear and climb under the sheets

Ego – The ego is the part of personality that mediates the demands of the id, the superego and reality. The ego prevents us from acting on our basic urges (created by the id), but also works to achieve a balance with our moral and idealistic standards (created by the superego). The balance between the two.

Unconscious – A reservoir of feelings, thoughts, urges and memories that outside of our conscious awareness. Most of the contents of the unconscious are unacceptable or unpleasant, such as feelings of pain, anxiety or conflict. According to Freud, the unconscious continues to influence our behavior and experiences even though we are unaware of these underlying influences.
This part was just an introduction and In the next part we would be digging into the the theory of Sigmund freud. Till then good bye dream well!
